This account has an interest rate of 6% APR and you can deposit up to £500 each month. It pays the interest a year after it has been opened. My recommendation is to open an account and put one pound into it every Monday during 2026. At the end of the year you’d have the £52 you’d saved plus another £1.58 in interest – which is always handy. You could give yourself a week off!
The interest rate is variable so it could go down (or up) during the year. You can withdraw money at any time and it then takes 24 working hours to reach your nominated account. The way it works is that you nominate an account (e.g. your current account) then you pay into – and withdraw money from – the Regular Savings account only via the nominated account.
I also like it because their website and app are called MonBS which sounds like it’s the bullshit they talk on Mondays.
This is not a sponsored post. I saw this account recommended on MoneySavingExpert.com – it’s the highest interest rate for a Regular Savings account where
- you don’t need to be an existing customer
- there’s no restriction on the amount of money left in the account
- you can withdraw money without a financial penalty
I opened an account myself then deposited and withdrew one pound to test that it all appears to work properly before writing this.
